Mardi Gras Luncheon on Feb. 27!

Celebrate Mardi Gras and the start of Lent with a
Venezuelan lunch!

February 27, starting at 11:30 a.m.
(Lunch will be served int he parish hall 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m., and a Spanish Mass will follow in the church at 1:00 p.m.)
Enjoy a festive menu of Venezuelan food prepared by Real Food by Lorena. It’s a fundraiser to benefit the church. Tickets are $10  (cash at door). Each meal includes soda and dessert. Take away boxes available!

Menu:
Venezuelan Chinese Rice With Salad: Sautéed rice in soy sauce, smoked pork chop, chicken and sausage, accompanied by potato salad.

Arepas with Pernil: Arepas are a typical dish in Venezuela, made from corn flour, which is then baked and filled with pork cooked in red wine.

Macaronada: It is the Venezuelan version of the traditional Lasagna, in addition to meat, it is filled with ham and cooked potato, accompanied by garlic bread.

Chicken Scramble: Pieces of chicken coated in breadcrumbs that are cooked in a tomato sauce, olives and raisins accompanied by white rice.

Dessert: Rice Pudding and Tres Leches Cake
