You are warmly invited to explore the sacred mysteries of Holy Week – they lead to the joy of Easter:
- April 14,: 10 a.m. Palm Sunday: Palm procession, with congregational reading of the Passion Gospel According to Luke, and the Holy Eucharist: Rite Two
- April 17, 7 p.m. Tenebrae – an update on a traditional liturgy, featuring readings from the scriptures, with spoken and sung responses. Preceded by a light Lenten supper in the parish hall at 6 p.m.
- April 18, 7 p.m. Maundy Thursday: Commemoration of the institution of the Lord’s Supper, with foot washing – concludes with the stripping and washing of the Altar, the beginning of the all-night watch over the reserved Sacrament at the Altar of repose.
- April 19, 11 a.m. Holy Week time for young children and their families: playful activities and story presentation about Jesus (Palm Sunday through Easter Day)
- April 19, 12 p.m. Good Friday Liturgy from the Book of Common Prayer, with the reading of the Passion Gospel According to John, communion from the reserved Sacrament, and veneration of the Cross
- April 19, 3 p.m. The Way of the Cross – prayerful pilgrimage through the stations of the Lord’s passion.
- April 20 Holy Saturday. Preparation of the church for Easter worship
- April 20, 8 p.m. The Great Vigil of Easter: candlelit service, proclamation of the Resurrection Gospel According to Luke, and first Easter celebration of the Holy Eucharist
- April 21, 10 a.m. Easter Day: Festival celebration of the Holy Eucharist, with the proclamation of the Resurrection Gospel According to John. Flowering of the cross and Easter egg hunt to follow the service.
