South River church’s legacy of outreach continues with new thrift store to aid victims of Superstorm Sandy

Giving unto others is not a foreign concept at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in South River. In fact, the importance of that mission will be further underlined on Sunday, Sept. 1, from 2 to 4 p.m. when the church opens its thrift store, “Calico Threads” at 54 Ferry St. in the borough.

After Superstorm Sandy ravaged the community and those in surrounding areas, the church received large donations of clothing from people hoping to help ease the devastation. The Calico Threads store and distribution center will aid those still impacted by the storm.
