Are you looking for a way to enrich your prayer life, get closer to God, center yourself any time of the day, or make those quiet moments more meaningful?

Prayer is essential to Christian life and nourishes our spirit. Sustaining a connection with God demands that we attend to this with our body, mind, and soul. However, many of us find it difficult to keep the mind focused for long. We have become so used to receiving messages in rapid-fire succession, then moving to the next message, particularly with television, texting, Facebook, tweeting, the Internet, and other forms of electronic media.

This one-day retreat will provide you a time to connect with your inner self through learning new or reinforcing your prayer rituals. You’ll experience the spiritual power of prayer journaling, daily readings, contemplative prayer, walking the labyrinth, and praying with Anglican prayer beads. In each case, you’ll learn about the ritual and then practice it. In addition, you’ll learn how to create a prayer space in your home, how to use doodling as prayer, and learn about rituals using mandalas, prayer crosses and prayer stones.
